Bolt Interlocks

Bolt Interlocks are essential components of safety systems designed to ensure secure control and access management in hazardous environments. These locks prevent unauthorized access and control power operations providing safety and operational efficiency.

Salient Features:

  • Material: Manufactured from high-quality Stainless Steel (SS 316).
  • Design: Robust, reliable, and simple design with minimal parts.
  • Operation: Easy and hassle-free.
  • Maintenance: Maintenance-free for long-term reliability.
  • Ergonomics: Ergonomically designed key position for user comfort.
  • Key Safety: Trapped Linear Key Concept with uniquely coded keys. Key codes are recorded for easy replacement.
  • Additional Keys: Spare keys and master keys available upon request.

Specification :

  • Model: Available in two models: Single Bolt Lock (SBL) and Double Bolt Lock (DBL).

Double Bolt Lock

Double Bolt Locks manage safety protocols where both electrical and pneumatic supplies need to be controlled.

Applications:

  • Safety Control: Control both electrical and pneumatic supplies before accessing hazardous areas.
  • Hazardous Areas: Ensure access doors remain locked when the machine is operational.

Operation:

  • Power ON: When the machine is powered on and in operation, Key A is stored in the key cabinet, Key B is trapped in the power switch interlock, and Key C is trapped in the access door interlock.
  • Access: To enter the hazardous area, the following sequence is followed:
    • Insert Key A into the power switch lock and shift the power switch to the locked OFF position.
    • Remove Key B and insert it into the access door lock, allowing the door to open..
    • Remove Key C to keep the door open.
  • Restart: To restart the system, the process is reversed.

Single Bolt Lock

Single Bolt Locks ensure secure control of valves, hatches, access doors, and power switches.

Applications:

  • Safety Control: Manage safety protocols for valves, hatches, access doors, and power switches.
  • Hazardous Areas: Keep access doors locked when systems are powered on in hazardous areas.

Operation :

  • Power ON: When the machine is operational in a hazardous area, the access doors must remain locked. The interlock is installed on the power switch and the key is trapped in the Switch Bolt Interlock while the process is active.
  • Access: To enter the hazardous electric area, the power switch must be turned off, releasing the key and locking the switch in the OFF position.
  • Unlocking: The released key is then used to unlock the interlock on the hazardous door, retracting the bolt and allowing the operator to open the door.
  • Re-starting: To restart the system, the process is reversed.
