Ensuring the safe operation of valves is essential across various industries involved in oil and gas, water and food production to chemical manufacturing, refining and fluid transportation. Traditionally, controlling the sequence of process activities has relied on documented instructions. However, this method is prone to human error due to distractions, misinterpretation of instructions, workload, stress and unfamiliarity with the system, all of which can result in catastrophic consequences.

PETROMECH Interlock guides the operator through a predefined sequence with unique linear keys for each step. In the event when a mistake is made by the operator then the coded keys will not allow the operator to open or close an Interlock as per the sequence, hence avoiding any accidents. Only the right key can open or close an Interlock. Trapped Linear Key Interlocks are simple mechanical devices which can be customized to implement a safe sequence of operation in any process activity.
