Quarter Turn Lock (QTL)
Quarter Turn Series Interlocks are designed for all types of lever-operated valves including Ball Valves, Plug Valves, 3-way Ball Valves and Butterfly Valves. Quarter Turn Interlocks are essential for securing the open and closed positions of 90° rotating valves ensuring operational safety and reliability.

Specifications
- Model: Available in three models: QTL-SS, QTL-S and QTL-L.
- QTL-SS: Quarter turn Lock Super Small is suitable for manual lever operated valves up to 1 1/2″ in diameter.
- QTL-S: Quarter turn Lock Small is suitable for manual lever operated valves up to 3″ in diameter.
- QTL-L: Quarter turn Lock Large is ideal for manual lever operated valves ranging from 4″ to 6″ in diameter.
Available in Single Key or Double Key models.
- Operation: Easy mounting on valves allowing them to be locked in either the open or closed position by removing a key. The valve can only be operated when both keys are inserted in the interlock key slots and keys can be released only in the open or closed positions. The key indicates the valve’s status i.e. open or closed position of the valve. When the open key is removed the valve is locked in an open position and when the close key is removed the valve is locked in closed position.
Installation:
- Live Process Installation: QTL can be installed on the valve during live operations without the need to shut down the system. This process does not compromise the system’s certified pressure envelope.
